This visitor is Winry, but while waiting outside for Ed she wanders off, amazed by a refrigerated truck. Ed and Hughes discuss what they know so far about the serial killer, only to be interrupted when Ed learns he has a visitor. The Further tells Al what he knows about the stone, later telling Hawkeye that he believes it's good for kids to have dreams. Al goes to find more information on the stone, asking Hawkeye about it, as she tries to avoid the topic the Further walks up, having overheard Al. ![]() Al continues going through Tucker's research and discovers a part of it regarding the Philosopher Stone. Angry, Ed turns in his pocket watch and decides to investigate on his own. Ed doesn't feel comfortable doing so, so he decides to look for the serial killer (in hopes that it'll find/be Nina's and Alexander's murder), but is told he won't be permitted to by Mustang. Ed and Al are ordered to organize Tucker's research and Ed is asked to take over Tucker's research. Short Summary: Edward is distraught over Nina's and Alexander's death, but Mustang tells him that if he needs to learn to move on, even if he must force himself to. And the brothers find themselves caught up in the middle of something more grave and dangerous than they could have imagined. ![]() The truth about the Philosopher's Stone, the State Military, other alchemist, and homunculi begins to unravel. Through this journey the brothers meet allies and enemies, including those that are also after the Philosopher's Stone. Edward managed to bind Alphonse's soul to a suit of armor, sacrificing his right arm. Edward received an automail leg and arm thanks to his friend, Winry Rockbell, and her grandmother, Pinako. Years later, Edward becomes a State Alchemist in order to gain access to more research material. This attempt failed and in the process Edward lost his left leg and Alphonse lost his entire body. When they were young their mother died from a terminal illness, devastated by her death the two boys ignored the rules against using Human Transmutation, and attempted to bring their mother back to life. Edward and Alphonse Elric are two alchemist brothers who are searching for something called the Philosopher's Stone, in hopes that it can help them return their bodies back to normal. ![]()
